Informatica MDM Architecture

We will discuss Informatica MDM architecture and its components.

MDM architecture:

Informatica MDM architecture is 3 tier architecture as depicted in below image

        

3)Hubstore:-It is same as database where all master database and custom ORS configured. Master database consists of  meta data of ORS ,users, configured message queues etc..prior to MDM10 we can configure only one master database.Operational Reference Store(ORS)  is custom database where the actual business data model locates.

         
2)Hub Server & Cleanse Match Server:These servers are sychronized with application server like Websphere,WebLogic and JBoss.Hub server  consists of  MRM,HM and AM.

        Master Repository Manager(MRM):It is
                          To build Master Data
                          To clean and match
                          To Consolidate and manage master data across data sources
                          To access internal and external of an organization.

        Hierarchy Manager(HM) :It allows users to manage the hierarchy data.

        Security Access Manager(SAM):-It checks the authorized users to connect MDM Hub

1)Informatica MDM Console:It is also know as Hub console, it usedt to perform data management tasks. Access to this can be limited based on the roles & responsibilities of the users.

If we perform any data management tasks through hub console those are commit in database through application server

Introduction to Master Data Management

Hello Readers,

We will get to know the basic definition of  Master Data Management(MDM) ,its leverages  and available MDM tools in the market.

Master Data Management: Master Data Management is the comprehensive way of referring  to single data from its multiple references of data.Simply it provides the common point of  multiple reference of data. MDM related to data governance, which aims to enrich data's quality, share it broadly and leverage competitive advantage.

      MDM is a technology which enables combined functionalities of Business and IT to ensure the uniformity of data, accuracy, consistency and accountability. Master Data contains extended entities of customers,citizens,suppliers, organization and hierarchies etc.

     MDM  involves number of core  IT technologies solutions like data integration , data quality and Business process management(BPM) flows.

      1)Single view of data:- Creates a single view of data from duplicate and conflicting data.
      2)Panorama view of relationships: It lets the view of all relationships from the data and hierchies
      3)Complete view of interactions: It stores the lineage of data and how it is getting modified every time

               Gartner Inc. an American Research and advisory firm releases the Gartner Magic Quadrant in which they would reveal the which MDM tool has populated in that year based on Ability of Execution and Completeness of Vision.
